Bainbridge Arts and Crafts Art Resale Program
Lives, circumstances, and tastes change

The BAC Art Resale Program serves our artists by facilitating the transfer of their work from one owner to another, and by returning ten percent of the sale price to the artist.  This program also serves the community by offering an easy way to resell fine art while giving back something to the artist who created it.

All work sold through our Resale Program has been carefully selected to reflect the quality and integrity of the art at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts gallery.

How to Buy

  • Sales will be conducted in person at the Gallery or over the telephone with a credit card (206.842.3132).
  • We will be happy to ship works of art anywhere at the buyer’s expense.
  • All work will be sold “as-is”. No sold work of art from the Resale program may be returned to the gallery.
  • Bainbridge Arts and Crafts can not reframe any resale work but would be happy to direct a buyer to a framer in the area.
BAC encourages buyers to see the work in person before purchasing.

How to Sell
BAC will sell work that was made by one of our artists; is at least five years old; and that has a retail price of at least $250.

  • A jury of BAC staff will select all work for sale in the Art Resale Program.
  • The price of each work will be determined by BAC in consultation with the seller. Pricing will reflect current prices of the artist’s work, the condition of the work, the age of the work, as well as its quality.
  • BAC will return 60% of the sale price to the seller and 10% to the artist or the artist’s estate.
  • Sellers will sign a six-month contract with BAC. The work of art under contract may not be for sale anywhere else.
  • Seller will provide BAC with a good-quality low-resolution jpeg digital photograph.
  • The work of art will be kept in BAC’s art storage at The Annex, displayed online, and available to be seen by appointment.

If you have work that you would like to sell and that meets these criteria, please call Bainbridge Arts and Crafts, at 206.842.3132.
